This is where the Odyssey changes.
The weeks following birth, often referred to as the 'Fourth Trimester', are a time of profound tenderness, intense hormonal shifts, and deep physical recovery. The threshold itself, the becoming of a mother, begins long before that. It can start with the first thought of trying for a baby, and it continues long after the birth is over.
In our modern world, the narrative is often about 'bouncing back'. We're expected to return to normal before we've even caught our breath, often without the village we so desperately need.
I'm Rosanna, and my goal is to rewrite that narrative.
I'm a holistic doula, matrescence educator, trained antenatal educator, and qualified teacher. I support women through conception, loss, pregnancy, birth, and the first forty days. That breadth is intentional. The path into motherhood is rarely linear, and the woman walking it deserves a steady, knowledgeable presence at every stage, not a different practitioner for each chapter.
My particular love is the postpartum. It is the most under-supported and most quietly life-altering period in a woman's life, and traditional postpartum care is where my work sits most deeply. Birth preparation, conception support, and the holding space that loss requires are all part of what I offer, and all part of the same continuum.
I bridge the gap between modern maternity services and the reality of life at home, in the body, in the heart. I don't just 'help' with the baby. I mother the mother, ensuring you are nourished, rested, and honoured through whichever part of this odyssey you are walking.
We plan meticulously for the birth. But who plans for the mother?
