Your doula
Hi, I’m Rosanna, mama of two boys and two whippets.
I’m hoping that who I am and what I stand for resonates with you. My role as a Swindon doula is to support, nurture, and nourish you through the monumental life events of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I never take for granted the honour of being welcomed into such a sacred space. Here’s a little about my background, education, and the experiences that have shaped the care I offer today.
In my late teens, I travelled the world as Cabin Crew, exploring beautiful countries, soaking in wonders of the world, meeting fascinating people, and embracing a wide range of cultures, all while studying for my degree in Philosophy and Theology.
After completing my PGCE in 2018, I spent six years working as a Secondary School Teacher in Swindon, before leaving the profession following the birth of my first son. My own journey through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum inspired me to begin offering antenatal education, helping others to feel informed, supported, and empowered in their births.
I came away from my own birth feeling disempowered and unheard, and after connecting with other new mums locally, I realised that this experience was heartbreakingly common.
Early into my first postpartum, I very suddenly lost my Mum: my inspiration, guidance, and best friend. It was a time I needed her the most, and she wasn’t there. That enormous loss, combined with the intensity of new motherhood, gave me the clarity to reassess my life. Could I give everything to my role in education now that I had my baby, and had seen how short and precious life really is? It was hard, incredibly hard. I grieved my pre-baby identity and career, but I was also overwhelmed by the primal pull of motherhood.
It was during this time that I discovered matrescence - the powerful transition into motherhood - and everything began to make sense.
Following the birth of my second son in 2025, I knew without doubt that I wanted to train as a doula and practitioner in traditional postpartum care. My goal is to change the narrative around the postpartum experience and create a calm, supportive space for women to heal, rest, and reconnect.
Let’s say goodbye to bounce-back culture and instead nurture the body, mind, and spirit - so you can create the version of motherhood that feels right for YOU.
