A Doula for Chippenham Mothers
Birth and traditional postpartum support, close to home in Wiltshire.
Chippenham is a busy Wiltshire market town, full of young families. The postpartum care most of them have access to ends roughly when the health visitor's diary fills up. That's where doula support quietly picks up.
This is what doula care looks like.Care that comes to you.
What the system can't always give you, given how stretched it is, is the continuity of someone knowing you over months and present in the weeks around the birth. That continuity is what a doula brings.
Living twenty minutes away in Swindon, I work with mothers across Chippenham - Monkton Park, the centre, Hardenhuish and the surrounding villages. Drives are short. Visits are unhurried. Most of the work happens in your home, which is where most of the work needs to happen anyway.
Three core packages.
The right one for you depends on what stage you're at, and the support that feels right alongside you.

The Charting
Map. Navigate. Prepare. Evidence-based education designed to move you from uncertainty to clarity as you transition into parenthood.

The Odyssey
Trust. Release. Recover. A steady presence offering deep preparation, birth attendance, and postnatal sanctuary across your full journey.

The Sacred Pause
Stop. Breathe. Heal. Traditional postpartum care providing the village, nourishment, and wisdom for your First 40 Days.
I trained as a doula after my own postpartum.
I'm a mother of two boys, based in Swindon. Before training as a doula I'd spent six years as a secondary school teacher, with an earlier stretch as cabin crew. I came to this work after my own postpartum, and the loss of my mother in the weeks that followed.
The word matrescence - the developmental shift of becoming a mother - made sense of what I'd lived. I trained as a doula soon after.
Shorter, more focused work.
Some mothers don't begin with a full package. They might start with a focused call, a single overnight, or the work of returning to themselves later down the line.
