A Doula for Gloucester Mothers
Birth and traditional postpartum support, across the city and county.
Gloucester is the county's maternity hub. Every day, mothers from across Gloucestershire travel here to give birth and travel home afterwards, often to homes without the support the early weeks ask for.
This is the work that follows them home. How I work.
Three different packages, each shaped around a different stage of the journey. Where you begin depends on where you are now.

The Charting
Map. Navigate. Prepare. Evidence-based education designed to move you from uncertainty to clarity as you transition into parenthood.

The Odyssey
Trust. Release. Recover. A steady presence offering deep preparation, birth attendance, and postnatal sanctuary across your full journey.

The Sacred Pause
Stop. Breathe. Heal. Traditional postpartum care providing the village, nourishment, and wisdom for your First 40 Days.
From the GRH to your living room.
Gloucestershire Royal Hospital sits at the centre of maternity provision for the whole county. Most births in the area happen there, with home birth and midwife-led units as alternatives. The team are well-regarded, but the system is stretched. What it can't always give you is the same person knowing you over months, present in the weeks around the birth. That continuity is what a doula brings.
Living forty minutes east in Wiltshire, I work with mothers across Gloucester, Cheltenham and the surrounding county. The drive is straightforward, and most of the work happens in your home. The early weeks are not the time to be travelling out for support. I bring it to you.
I do this work because I once needed it.
I'm a mother of two boys, based in Wiltshire. Before training as a doula I spent six years teaching in secondary schools in Swindon, with an earlier stretch as cabin crew. The route was not a planned one. What set me on it was the early weeks after my first son arrived, the unexpected loss of my own mother during that same period, and the realisation that the postpartum care I'd assumed would just be there wasn't.
The word matrescence - the developmental shift of becoming a mother - made sense of what I'd been through. I trained as a doula soon after.
When you don't need the full package.
Sometimes the work is one visit, one focused call, or one ceremonial moment to mark a transition that matters.
